Emmy-Award winning Victory at Sea was one of the first documentary television series. It featured warfare in general during World War II, and naval warfare in particular. It was originally broadcast by NBC in the U.S. on Sunday afternoons at 3pm ET from October 26, 1952 to May 3, 1953 and was later compiled into a movie.
