On Veterans Day 11/11/2015, a local business in Mountlake Terrace honored employees who served our country through military service with a lunch in their honor. Ten veterans who served during the Vietnam Era were presented with Vietnam Veteran Lapel Pins provided by Vietnam War 50th Anniversary Commemorative Partner American Legion Post 234.

The Northwest Junior Pipe Band participated in honoring US military on November 11th at Veterans Park in Lynnwood, Washington. Representative Rick Larsen and Mayor Nicola Smith were in attendance. The event will be held on Tuesday, November 10, at 10:30 AM in the college’s Black Box Theater. The celebration is for the entire community, not just students, and veterans are especially invited to attend. Please wear your cover. The Black Box Theater is located near the south side of the campus; parking is available. Refreshments will be served at the conclusion.  |
